Antibacterial Analysis of Noni Leaf Extract In Vitro and In Silico for Application in Aquaculture
Vibrio parahaemolyticus is the cause of vibriosis disease in aquaculture, which results in economic losses for the aquaculture industry. Noni leaf extract can be antibacterial to control V. parahaemolyticus in tiger shrimp farming. This study aimed to analyze the antibacterial potential of noni leaf extract against V. parahaemolyticus bacteria in vitro and in silico. Noni leaf extract was investigated in vitro with GC-MS phytochemical tests, antibacterial activity, MIC and MBC tests. In silico analysis was carried out with a bioinformatics study using secondary data in the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) database through PubChem NCBI, PASSonline, and proTox-3.0 - (Prediction of TOXicity of chemicals). GC-MS analysis results. There are 20 compounds in noni leaf extract, 15 of which have the potential to be antibacterial. Compounds in noni leaf extract are not toxic to Hepatotoxicity, Neurotoxicity, Respiratory Toxicity, Immunotoxicity, Mutagenicity, Cytotoxicity and Nutrition Toxicity, except for the compound 2-Hydroxyhexadecanoic acid, which is toxic to Hepatotoxicity, Neurotoxicity, Respiratory Toxicity. In vitro, noni leaf extract can inhibit Vibrio parahaemolyticus bacteria, with the best dose being 150ppm.
