Abstract

It was found that the increase of the length of the host body results in an increase in the prevalence of infection. The
prevalence of infection in females approximatly equals that in males. The prevalence of infection reaches its peak in the spring and summer while in winter it decreased sharply. The study of the effect of 10 mg/1 copper sulphate was lethal to ectoparasitic Monogenea after five hours. This study was confirmed by using scanning electron microsocpe on the treated monogenean parasites.
