Study of the production performance by releasing carp fingerlings at selected floodplain of Kotalipara Upazilla, Gopalganj, Bangladesh
This study was undertaken to conduct a study of the production performance by releasing carp fingerlings at selected floodplains of Kotalipara Upazilla, Gopalganj, Bangladesh for 210 days. Greater weight increase was statistically varied (P<0.05), daily rise in weight, survival rate, SGR, FCR and condition factor were highest at T1 than T2 and T3. The weight gain (g) of fishes were found T1 (Rohu: 1250.10±30.10, Catla: 1210.10±30.23, Mrigal: 1201.70±31.75, Silver carp: 1270.12±16.35, Sarputi: 506.15±17.75and Bata: 570.45±16.90) statistically (P<0.05) greater than T2 and T3. The FCR of species were found T1 (2.50) drastically (P<0.05) best than T2 (2.90) and T3 (3.20). Specifically, the SGR (% day-1) and condition factor (K) of species were found to be similar in all the treatments. The production (kg/dec.) of species were found in T1 (Rohu: 37.50±5.01, Catla: 7.26±5.03, Mrigal: 6.01±6.35, Silver carp: 6.35±3.27, Sarputi: 2.53±3.55and Bata: 3.42±2.82) statistically (P<0.05) superior to T2 and T3. The total production (kg/dec.) species were found T1 (63.06±15.60) drastically (P<0.05) more than T2 (47.76±23.04) and T3 (49.31±42.36). The total expenditure (Tk/Dec) species were found T3 (6,683.76±5.95) statistically (P<0.05) greater than T1 (6,379.25±8.12) and T2 (5,955.12±9.07). The BCR species were found in T1 (1.26) drastically (P<0.05) more than in T2 (1.21) and T3 (1.12).
